Established in 1904, the East Sangerville Grange has a rich history founded on community gatherings. This historic grange hall is located in a rural, picturesque country setting, and is ideal for weddings, receptions, banquets, reunions, bridal showers, baby showers, meetings, workshops, luncheons, dinners, and more. It is as beautiful inside as the views are outside. Mount Katahdin (the tallest mountain in Maine and the north end of the Appalachian Trail) is visible from the front porch. Have a seat and enjoy the view!
About the Building
The rustic charm of this grange is one of the reasons why it is so beloved by the community. When entering the front doors of the grange, there is an entryway with a bathroom and stairway off to the right and an anteroom off to the left that can be used as a bridal room. The main doors open to a spacious room with a full service kitchen equipped with two gas ranges, a refrigerator/freezer, and a beautiful antique cast iron double sink. The long wooden counter top is ideal for preparing a feast. There are about 1,600 square feet of usable space and enough tables and chairs to easily accommodate 100 people.
Upstairs you will find a raised stage and a spacious room fit for a dance floor.
Also worth mentioning, for those looking to book the hall for a wedding venue, is the quaint little church (East Sangerville Union Church) located right next door.
